hebexture :
st → You're confusing HOW we know WHO God is with WHY we believe God is. I don't quote the Bible to prove God exists, I quote it to tell you what the God who already proved Himself is like. If you want proof God exists without opening the Bible, I'll give you proof without opening it.
nd → Contingency kills atheism before we even start. Everything you see is contingent - it didn't have to exist. You, me, the universe. A contingent thing can't explain itself. You can't have an infinite chain of contingent things, because you would never get to existence at all. So there must be a necessary Being - something that HAS to exist, that can't not exist, that grounds everything else. We call that Being God. That's Leibniz, not Sunday school.
rd → Fine-tuning is not a fairy tale, it's measured. If gravity was stronger by 1 part in 10^60, the universe collapses. If the cosmological constant was off by 1 in 10^120, no galaxies, no stars, no life. If the strong nuclear force was 2% different, no hydrogen, no chemistry. Roger Penrose calculated the odds of a low-entropy universe like ours by chance at 1 in 10^10^123. That's not "story book", that's physics. An atheist calling that chance is the real fairy tale.
th → So no, I don't bring a story book to prove God. I bring contingency, fine-tuning, objective morality and consciousness - things you live by every day but can't explain in your worldview. My "story book" just happens to be the only book that predicted all of them 2000 years before you measured them.
