@dailymirror: Princess Diana’s brother, Earl Spencer, has doubled down on his claims about King Charles's reaction to her death in 1997. Speaking exclusively to the BBC’s Laura Kuenssberg, Spencer insisted, “I’m telling the truth.” In his new book, he claims Charles was “giddily elated” when he heard of Diana’s death and later said the world would “forget about her soon enough.” Buckingham Palace responded saying the King was "mindful that the pain of fraternal grief can cloud reason, affect judgement and colour memory in ways others do not recognise, even many years after such a loss."
