I have the 17 pro max and I only upgraded because my 15 pro max was overheating. To get a replacement would have cost me $250 WITH insurance. I still had $180 to pay off so I paid it off and traded it in. Didn’t make sense to pay $250 and $180.

These are slightly wealthier people than you and me but they think they’re closer to the elites so they flock to the latest status symbol product to make them feel more successful in life bc their unethical career choice has brought nothing to make them feel like their life includes any meaning. Being able to look down on others for not having the latest iPhone helps distract themselves from that reality
