I'm not Jewish but I always put rocks/ stones no the Jewish graves in the the cemetery my grandparents are buried in as there are not many Jewish people in my town in the UK now. Is this ok or am I being disrespectful?

also, question: I see that there's a picture on the monument. Could you explain the nuance between pictures and graven images, etc.? I'm Episcopalian (essentially halfway between Protestant and Catholic) so we've been having this debate for thousands of years. Would love to hear your PoV

I was raised Catholic and I leave stones on my grandmother's headstone as well... it brings my heart great joy to see the similarities we share. They are so much more important than our differences. Thank you for sharing your life and faith with us.

In Catholicism we use our saints to pray for us in the same manner you are using your grandma. To intercede to G-d for us.
