I work for myself and have a lot of flexibility. Could we technically upgrade a lot of things? Sure. But I’m way more interested in having low overhead, fewer payments, more options, and more control over my time than making sure my lifestyle matches what the internet thinks a millionaire should look like. That’s a big part of what de-influencing means to me. You don’t have to constantly upgrade your life just because your income goes up. Don't feel like you're settling for a double wide. I do hvac and they are just as nice as a custom built home. I would rather have one than a lot of trash I've seen for a whole lot more $. You do you!

My total housing costs for the month of August and September was $576, water,sewer, electric included. Paid off double wide in CA senior citizen's camp. I can't figure out why the one next to me remains unsold. Personal net worth about 1.2 million. At 73 years old I remember when a $ 1.0 million was a lot of money. I thank God everyday for the roof over our heads and the food we eat. God bless the USA!
