when I had my first child I remember feeling so numb I kept looking at her and thinking is she really mine am I really now a mother I now have responsibility towards her? having her at the age of 22 didn't know how to feel along with the trauma of long labour health complications etc shes 14 now and I wish I could go back because she grew too quick in front of my eyes. cherish these moments they really don't come back🥹

I keep crying when i remember that night, it was so physically exhausting yet the best night of my life, i will never forget her little face and little eyes her little movements she didn’t cry at all 😭

I had so much drama with my husband and in-laws for the months prior and the entire labour. He then proceeded to go home and leave me with the baby. I was tired, upset & too tied about about how my husband treated me. That I didn’t get to enjoy being a mum (and a part of me resented my newborn — but I know now it wasn’t my baby that was the issue) I hate my husband for it. I hate his family. And I will never get back those hours, days , moments. I will always owe it to my son. What’s upsetting is I know it’ll be my only. And so I blew my only chance at it. I pray god heals me & makes me the best mother to my son.

I missed this opportunity as I was high on morphine from my C section. My partner looked after her until I came around. My bond with her is like no other but I do feel emotional knowing I didn’t get this first night with her 🥺
