This sounds hopeful. He sounds very well versed in ARFID and has a plan. My son has borderline ARFID and has had gut issues his whole life. I had to fight for an autism diagnosis because he's very high flying. It's very much psychological. He's been in therapy for it for half his life. ABA might be able to help but it has to be the right one. Happy for you. Keep going. 💜💜

This sounds like a good doctor to me. The support about frosting and bottles feels like he REALLY gets it. He didn't just go straight to a gtube he seems to actually want to find an answer not just to put a band aid on it

i know we’re just strangers on here but as someone with a bunch of medical issues it is SUCH A RELIEF when you find a doctor who is competent AND cares!! i know this must feel like part of the weight has at least been taken on by someone else. ❤️

I'd love to just chat with you about our kids. You're a few steps ahead of us but I feel like you're the only one who understands what my son and our family is going through. My 6y/o son is Zero food, only Vanilla pediasure from a specific Avent bottle and their old style nipple that isn't made anymore. 🤦♀️Him eating frosting would be amazing!!

It must be so reassuring to know that you are doing all the right things with keeping her fed AND finding an actual doctor who acknowledges that there is a problem, and that there are possible solutions. I’m proud of both you and sister-girlie.

SLP who asked about the Gtube in a previous video. I LOVE that the MD brings up QOL! I had a pt in a similar boat who got one and her and her mom’s relationship improved so much after, since mom got to focus on being mom! (Not trying to imply you guys have a bad relationship at all)

this makes my heart so happy for y'all coop 💕 great job friend 🫶 as you work with him keep reminding staff that you live far away, its not always top of mind for appointments and you can ask them to flex for your travel. Also some visits can be telehealth and aren't worth the travel but I find I have to ask and lead the set up!

My daughter needed an NJ tube at 15 months and they had to “bridle” it to her nose so that she couldn’t rip it out. It wasn’t my favorite, but it worked 😭 I pulled it a couple times by accident and just felt awful
