@mike_904_: I'm seriously on the verge of a mental breakdown. I'm fighting hard to keep it together. I'm going to flip from manic to depressed soon, and I know it's coming. The party is over.
Mike…I’m a Therapist. I’m also a retired veteran. I’ll take you as pro-bono because you’re a fellow veteran. We can do video calls. But only if you really want to do the work. DM me.

The people on TikTok are not your friends or reality. Get off TikTok, talk to real people in your real life and get yourself better.

Hey mike, you could call the NAMI warmline for now!! It’s NOT a hot line like 988 - they don’t call the police - but they’re always there to talk to you as a temporary support! I’ve called lots of times. Cried to em for 2 hours and they really helped me just by even being there with no judgment. It’s a great resource. You can find the number on Google.

Mike, please, please consider going back on meds under a doctor’s supervision. Your body isn’t meant to feel these extreme highs and lows. My entire childhood was spent riding those waves with my bipolar mother.

Pray! Go out and commune with nature and let out your pent up emotions. Talk to us if it can help and best thing, see a doctor.

Hey Mike! One thing that can be really helpful when coming down from mania, especially when you’re craving physical touch, is finding safe ways to give your nervous system some of that sensory input without putting yourself in a situation you may regret later. A hot shower, weighted blanket, body pillow, wrapping up tightly in a soft/plush robe or blanket, or even petting/cuddling an animal can provide calming tactile input. The period after mania can also be a vulnerable time for impulsive or risky choices, including reaching out to people who may not be healthy or safe for us simply because we’re craving connection. That’s why having a few self-soothing strategies already planned can be really helpful. And if you need connection, reaching out to a safe person and actually saying, “I’m struggling and could use some support right now,” is absolutely okay. I’d also bring this specific piece up with your therapist so you can build some strategies for it into your treatment plan before you need them. None of these things perfectly replace human touch, but they can help you ride out that intense need for connection in a safer way while your nervous system settles. Give yourself some grace and experiment with what feels regulating for you. You got this! ❤️

Social medial is the worse thing for someone in a mental health crisis! It’s toxic! For some sick reason, there are some people who thrive on seeing others suffer. Please put the phone down! Go to the “pizza party” immediately. Get a weekend pass (if that’s possible) for Kayla’s wedding and then go back to hospital if necessary! Get on the proper meds, and stay on them!
