I have owned my 2018 q50 for almost about 7-8 years already. Car has been extremely reliable for me. Did add some extra measures such as an oil catch can, anti-pulley, heat exchanger, 5w30 oil and solenoid delete. Currently my car has around 450ish whp which I’m really happy about, I’m not chasing numbers. I guess it all depends on how you treat your car. enjoy the car, don’t abuse it.

Warranty is a must!!! It has saved me a lot. Pre turbo failure, alternator replacement, water cooler replaced, and some sensors. I got this car preowned and am on top of maintenance 👨‍🔧

Would you rather have gotten this or the bmw f30 340i? They go around average 20-22k. The b58 even in the gen 1 is much more reliable. Mod for mod stock motor they’re pretty close too but I’d still choose the f30 it’s more timeless overall

Vq problems. Transmission,Valve body going out also works with the transmission shifts slow. Vr30 problems. Oil starvation biggest issue and potentially blowing turbos. Sonic tune, racebox, ams solved most of the problems for the vr30 anyway. They are way more reliable than they used to be. Just choose what problems you want to deal with. Remember every car is gonna have its problems regardless of maintenance. Pick a poison and live with it.

Why are we still comparing the old ass 3.7vq to a newer motor the 3.7 is very reliable as a daily and can be quick with just a few mods and a tune of course the 3.0tt has more potential is mf newer 😂😂😂😂😂😂

I have both rn the vq is for sure the better car when it comes to reliability and price but it’s just too many high school kids with vqs so I had to get the 3.0 😂💯
