not everything necessarily needs to be “signed” but make sure to have everything in writing. When sending the final invoice send “please review the final invoice, if you have any questions please let me know” make sure in the invoice has everything both parties agreed on and any other service must be approved by both parties.

I had a customer try this and he ended up paying because they new i was not taking that bs. in you can't write a contract because u are misrepresenting yourself if licensed and u can get criminal charges. but text and emails can be used in court.

use text messages and phone # caller/records that communication has been made, and side note, a homeowner has a legal obligation to stop and notify them that they're in the wrong house, you just can't watch as they're replacing your roof expecting it'll be free because of their mistake, it's called unjust enrichment / quantum meruit, so she can't say, she never approved while watching her roof get destroyed to be replaced
