I drove 150 miles from work to see my daughter in her school play. One boy whose Mom didn't show up said to my daughter "your Mom's wearing construction boots, hahahaha." My daughter said "at least my Mom is here".

As a single parent and injured worker in workers comp getting sweet nothing in the way of $$ - we would do take out of 1 piece pizza divided in 1/2 & shared 1 drink. We bought second hand clothes , etc but we didn’t all kinds of time in nature - and camping , hiking, berry picking etc .
