@stepsistersdpm: Plantar fasciitis can be frustrating—but the right habits can make a big difference. 👣 If you’re dealing with plantar heel pain, here are 5 things I commonly recommend: 1️⃣ Avoid going barefoot — especially on hard floors. Supportive slippers or shoes can reduce strain on the plantar fascia. 2️⃣ Stretch before standing — gentle calf and plantar fascia stretches before taking those first steps can help ease morning pain. 3️⃣ Use ice for pain relief — try a frozen water bottle or an ice pack wrapped in a damp towel for about 10-15 minutes, 2–3 times a day. 4️⃣ Modify high-impact activities — temporarily replace running and jumping with lower-impact activities like swimming or cycling while symptoms settle. 5️⃣ Don’t ignore persistent pain — if your heel pain lasts 6+ weeks, it’s worth getting evaluated. Not all heel pain is plantar fasciitis. A Podiatrist can confirm the diagnosis, identify contributing factors, and discuss additional treatment options. 6️⃣ Get our heel pain recovery ebook Comment “GUIDE” below for early access to our complete guide, where we walk you through the next steps for managing plantar fasciitis. #plantarfasciitis #plantarfasciitisrelief #heelpain #podiatry #doctor This content is for educational purposes only
