I ran outside into the parking lot of my apartment complex and howled. In less that 30 seconds my neighbors I had never said a word to joined me. We all hugged and jumped together. It was a different time.

It was my first vote. 😭 I drove 6 hours to DC that night. I’ll never forget it. It was absolutely magical. His entire campaign was about HOPE. I haven’t felt it in a long time.

My parents CRIED and at that time I didn't understand why. My mom looked at me and said WE FOUGHT FOR THIS! They lived through the Civil rights and just thinking about it makes me emotional.

I was stationed in Iraq. I mailed in my ballot along with a bunch of people on my base. the entire chow hall erupted in cheers when it was announced he won. was an amazing day I'll never forget
