@adoptabledogsofmiami1: A plea came out for a dog who was about to be euthanized. She was found in a Walgreens parking lot, painfully emaciated, her body soaked in urine, and it’s heartbreakingly obvious she spent much of her life confined to a kennel, forced to sit in her own waste day after day. Despite everything she’s endured, she is unbelievably sweet. Shelter staff listed her as a 1, and a Strong Paws Rescue immediately stepped up to save her. I picked her up today, and for now, I’ll be temporarily caring for her while the rescue focuses on getting her stable. I know $8,000 sounds like a huge fundraising goal, but cases like this can easily exceed $10,000 once diagnostics, treatment, and ongoing care begin. Right now, the priority is getting her safely through these next few days. She’ll need a strict refeeding schedule, close monitoring, and a lot of support. Dogs don’t end up like this overnight.
