lmao. im gen z and have done the same thing. AI really wasnt a thing until about five years ago when I was a senior, and even then all the kids who used it were insane and definitely getting caught

as someone who graduated highschool 8 years ago I often submitted essays at 11:59pm without reading the assigned readings having started them like three hours before. And if we were required to print them I'd sure as hell be finishing the essay on the bus and walking down the hallway to the library to print it

I do it online rather than writing but I don't use AI unless it's to give me a sense of "How do I put this?" and look up examples instead of the subject I'm writing
