I have CVS and Frida is my favorite artist. The only reprieve from the pain is typically a scalding hot bath. For days. Laying in the dark, hurting and creating my own fantasy world to detract from reality. Frida lived a life of pain but also fierce passion. This piece speaks to me on a level I wish I never experienced, but I’m grateful I wasn’t alone. Frida felt it too.
