as someone who doesn't use chalk like ever, seems like hagoromo is kinda overrated but that also kinda depends on how long it lasts compared to Crayola

You can clearly see the difference in the circle comparison. The hagoromo one was clearly bigger. That kind of radius just isn’t feasibly achievable with lower quality chalks. Clear winner imho 👍

As a pro tip my lower budget chalk I use when I don’t wana burn through the good stuff (Hogoromo) and don’t need colors, is Prang. It’s leagues better than crayola and still very cheap

yeah they look almost the same. But I can understand if it's nicer to write with. Dose not seam worth it but I guess a small improvement is nice when you use it every day

I like how crisp the sound when you struck he black board with Hagoromo chalk not to mention the density and texture is bold enough that it doesn't have that fade in curve/line when you stroke it
