@elunicofred: a unique moment from a surprise U2 benefit concert held in New York City's Times Square on December 1, 2014, to commemorate World AIDS Day. Frontman Bono was completely sidelined after suffering serious injuries from a severe bicycle accident in Central Park just weeks prior. Not wanting to cancel the crucial event, the remaining members of U2 recruited Coldplay’s Chris Martin (as well as Bruce Springsteen) to step in as a guest vocalist. Wearing a custom t-shirt that playfully read "SUBSTITU2," Martin filled in to sing iconic hits like "With or Without You" and "Beautiful Day". Rather than trying to imitate Bono, he brought his own distinct, emotional vocal style to the tracks, resulting in a legendary performance that fans fondly remember as the era of "U2 Minus 1" #fyp #parati #pourtoi #u2 #coldplay
