@reform: Adam Clausen was sentenced to 213 years in federal prison. When he earned his way home, he faced three years of federal supervision. During that time, Adam continued making progress, developing a record of community service and maintaining his employment, all while abiding by the conditions of his federal supervision. Despite his hard work, when he applied for early termination halfway into this term, he was denied. He was one of 110,000 people living under a supervised release system that was meant to support reentry, but instead punishes people trying to rebuild.
