@jcsuperstaruk: In 1990, Microsoft presented Excel as something close to a workplace miracle. Features such as AutoFill, drag and drop, and automatic formatting promised to remove repetitive steps from everyday office work. Tasks that once required constant manual entry and adjustment could suddenly be completed in moments. Microsoft was not simply selling spreadsheet software. It was selling time, accuracy, and a vision of the computer as an essential office tool. What looked revolutionary then is now so familiar that most people barely notice it. they had tasks like this and earned a salary that could afford a house, two cars, two children and vacation every summer, today we have to be able to do tasks from rocket scientists to be able to barely afford groceries through the whole month and they ask why everybody is so miserable.

I still maintain that you could revolutionise the business world if you could teach everyone how to use Excel properly.
