@stevenpaltermd: Replying to @elenateodora.g a majority of cases of low-level prolactin elevations are false positives due to a molecule called macroprolactin, which has no effect on the body but shows up in blood tests. Before you have an MRI of your pituitary gland or get started on medications, get the monomeric prolactin level. That can weed out the false positives and show you that no treatment is needed.
