@dgeeleps: There are a few ways to travel to the Kyushu region from the Kansai region. You can go by the fast Shinkansen, take a long road trip by car, or catch a domestic flight. Amongst all, you can journey across the majestic seas on an overnight cruise with the MOL Sunflower Ferry, which operates routes from Osaka to either Beppu (Oita) or Shibushi (Kagoshima). On our trip to Kyushu region, the Osaka–Beppu route we sailed along the Seto Inland Sea, passing directly underneath three world-famous suspension bridges: the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge (connecting Kobe and Awaji Island), the Seto Ohashi Bridge (connecting Honshu and Shikoku), and the Kurushima Kaikyo Bridge (connecting Oshima Island and the Shikoku mainland). We were privileged to see the breathtaking views of the sunset and sunrise from the open deck, welcoming us and bidding us farewell. Upon our arrival early in the morning we were welcomed by Beppu's beautiful coastal skyline and its iconic surrounding mountains: Mount Tsurumi, Mount Ogiyama, Mount Yufu, and Mount Takasaki. As we headed back and bid farewell to those same beautiful mountains, glowing in a stunning sunset, it seemed as though the view was inviting us back to see their beauty all over again. #kyushu #japantravel #japan
