@janellewangtv: UPDATE from SF Animal Care & Control. This is the second mountain lion spotted in San Francisco this month. Today’s cougar was spotted at 44th Avenue and Ulloa Street in the Outer Sunset, a populated neighborhood. “The mountain lion has been safely tranquilized by the @sanfranciscozoo He is now with the @californiadfw and will be checked over by a veterinarian before being released back to the wild. There's a big difference in our recent mountain lion situations. Being in a tree in the Panhandle in a natural area with a clear route to the coast through a forested park is one thing. Being hunkered down under a bush in a driveway in a densely populated neighborhood is another completely different scenario. For the safety of all people, pets AND mountain lions, this youngster was safely darted and removed.”
