My child is a little goblin. Every school year we have a gallon sized ziplock bag that we put all of the “interesting” stuff that makes it home in the book bag throughout the year 🤣🤣 we pull out ALL KINDS of random stuff that has been created or picked up off the ground. Then we look at it at the end of the year and have a wholesome family laugh at all the stuff.

The kids pick up random stuff and stash it in their pockets, shoes, and backpacks. We choose our battles, let them take their scrap paper home as opposed to them having an unnecessary meltdown. -Kindergarten IA

to be completely honest I do not like getting their work due to my own shit if feeling like I have a hard time getting rid of stuff my child makes. But thats my own thing to deal with

Do you know many times I’ve stapled a bunch of cut scraps together ?! When children are mastering a new skill they love to take home the fruits of their labor!

My pre-k kiddo didn't bring home confetti. He stole one of the stamp rollers he really likes 😂😂😂. That was fun to hand back to his teacher this morning at drop off

When we made paper snowflakes in school, I would bring home the cut out parts as well as the finished snowflakes. My mom used cornstarch and water to glue all of them to my bedroom window and the windows in our living room. She knew they were important to me even if it looked like trash to her.

Yep, 100% the kid put it in there. I have 24 students. They put their own stuff away in their folders and book sacks. I don’t have time to do that.

Kids love stuff like that & want to share with mama. I teach 2nd & they struggle to throw away the backs of stickers. Something about papers in shapes appeals to them.

put those pieces in a zip lock and toss it after it goes untouched/they forgot about it. that kid totally wanted to save them(my kids would too) and id put them in a baggie for a period of time lol

My daughter is in pre k and we get her folder every week. It’s a nice way to talk to her about what she’s learning and what she’s needs practice with. We have a lot of shape tracing and letter tracing books as she works on holding a pencil.

Get a glue stick and let them glue it onto the paper they punched them out of then color the page. More fine motor work.
