Putting a stent in is usually complication free… except not always. Stents are inserted via the artery in your thigh via the aorta through the heart to the blocked artery. Damage to the aorta can occur and will require surgery to repair.

I'm glad it's okay but just stressed doesn't lead to a heart attack. there has to be typically a type of blockage but the increase in blood pressure definitely with a blockage does expedite the chance of a heart attack
