@Rhonja: Unfortunately the building is old and needs structural repairs and upgrades. The Kennedy Center opened in 1971 a terrace was added in 1997. Since 1997 no other President has spent time or any money on any renovations or upgrades. The only President to spend any money was President Trump in 2017. The building is 60 thousand square feet so you can only imagine since 1971 the structural damages that have occurred. All of you out there now trying to put on a we love America show show and tell for media coverage is appalling to say the least. You only care now because President Trump again wants to do the right thing and make the necessary renovations on the building to make in structurally safe. Considering he’s the only one who has ever shown any interest in fixing the building so it’s safe and can be used adding his name shouldn’t be a problem. He’s qualified to do the necessary repairs and renovations to bring it to code and make it beautiful. Not one of you people have given two shits about the Kennedy Center until now. It’s personal because of your HATE of President Trump. I think it’s only appropriate to let President proceed to make the building safe and beautiful and add his name to the building after all he’s the only one since 1997 that’s ever done anything or spent a dime on renovations of the Kennedy Center. So take your hate filled hearts and your horrible singing voices along with your pretend fake crocodile tears and shove your bad breath singing polluting the area up your a.. ! And if I were Trump I’d demo the building too…. All of you haters wanting to block anything good President Trump does should look in the mirror!! What have any of you done!!! Nothing except spew hate!! So hold your breath because without the renovations the building isn’t structurally sound. So maybe a full demo is the only option. 😊
