SLEEP TRAINING 1: Just because a baby stops crying doesn’t necessarily mean they’re okay. A quiet baby is not automatically a regulated baby. 💔 For nine months, your baby knew nothing but warmth, closeness and the constant sound of you. Your heartbeat. Your breathing. Your body. You were their entire world. And then suddenly we expect these tiny human beings to sleep alone in a quiet, dark room and somehow “learn” not to need us. But babies don’t learn regulation in isolation. They learn it through co regulation, through thousands of moments of being comforted, held and responded to, night and day. So if every instinct in your body tells you to pick up your crying baby, trust it. Go to them. Hold them. Comfort them. Respond to them. They aren’t robots. They don’t need to be programmed. They need connection, comfort and love. 🤍 You are not creating bad habits by loving your baby. You are teaching them something far more important: when I need someone, I am not alone. Where do you stand on sleep training? #gentleparenting #attachmentparenting #sleeptraining #motherhoodunfiltered #breakupwithnarcissism
