@406bbq: Crockpot Series Episode 6: Marry Me Chicken This is my crockpot series, where I help you make easy recipes so good you might find a spouse or impress the one you’ve got. This Marry Me Chicken is creamy, savory, tender, and packed with sun-dried tomato flavor. We’re even cooking the orzo right in the crockpot, so the crockpot does the work and you take the credit! 🙌🏽🔥 Ingredients: 2½ pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs 4 tablespoons butter 2T shallots, diced 2T garlic cloves, minced 3/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes, sliced 2 tablespoon tomato paste 1½ cups low-sodium chicken broth 1 cup dry orzo 2–3 cups fresh baby spinach ¼ cup heavy cream ¼ cup grated Parmesan Salt and black pepper to taste Fresh parsley for finishing, optional Instructions: 1. Use @ and season the chicken thighs with @ Garlic & Herbs 2. Hard sear your chicken thighs in your butter 3. Add your sliced onions and chicken thighs to the @crockpot. Mix together your ingredients and pour over. 4. Cover and cook on LOW for 3–4 hours or HIGH for 2–2½ hours, until the chicken is tender and reaches at least 165°F. 5. Remove the cooked chicken and set it aside. Stir 1 cup of dry orzo into the sauce. 6. Cover and cook the orzo on HIGH for 20–30 minutes, stirring every 8–10 minutes so it doesn’t stick. The chicken broth and cooking juices will cook the orzo. 7. Once the orzo is tender, stir in the spinach, heavy cream, and Parmesan. Cover and cook on HIGH for another 3–5 minutes, just until the spinach wilts and the sauce becomes creamy. 8. Dice your chicken then turn off the crockpot. 9. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed. 10. Spoon the Marry Me Chicken and Orzo onto your plate and finish with parsley. Serve it immediately because the orzo will continue absorbing that creamy sauce as it sits. #crockpotrecipes #crockpot #easymeals #mealprep #marrymechicken
