Like what happened with the convoy, they justify it by convincing themselves it’s what’s best for everyone and they’re fighting for that, like generous martyrs driven but altruism. I think that’s an important part of the cognitive dissonance - the whole “freedom fighter” mentality 😒

The irony that separatists don’t understand why people would end friendships over their impossible idea, that just wastes time and energy, instead of focusing on fixing things and moving forward, when their whole movement is about “we don’t like this, we want to leave”. So, they want to be able to leave a country, but it doesn’t make sense to them why people want to leave a friendship.

I used to call myself conservative. Once they 'merged' with the wild rose party. Hell no. When you ask separatist questions about what Education, Healthcare, social services would look like and how they would be paid for? How would Trade work who is negotiating internationally? They don't have thought out answers at all.
