I’m honestly not surprised about Dionysus being Minoan. I’m pretty sure the whole labrynth mythology as we know it today was plagiarised off of Minoan mythology. Like I read somewhere that Ariadne was one of the main goddesses, hence I wouldn’t be too surprised about Dio coming from there too. I’m pretty sure Rhea actually originates there as well right?

They have deciphered 30 words from Linear A most of which are Greek or some might be Greek. If they prove that the Minoans spoke Greek then the whole Indo-European bs theory will collapse. The Minoans had no Indo-European dna while the Mycenaeans only had a 10-15%. They will have to attribute the European linguistic similarities to the Neolithic Farmers language who actually made all the megalithic civilizations in Europe and not to the primitive nomads from the stepes of Eurasia (silly propaganda of the 19th century that still carries on). Now, if the gods prove to be Minoans, again the Indo-European bs theory collapses because all the deities in Europe (Greek, Celtic, Norse) look similar and sometimes the same. It will mean that ancient European religions came from the Neolithic Farmers and not the IE. When it comes to linguistic comparison, the academics act as if the Neolithic Farmers language never existed. They only speak of the IE language although they have never ever found anything to support their bs. They even dared to reconstruct that language out of pure imagination. They are not to be trusted! They have built their careers on such bs IE theories and I don't think they will give up so easily. Maybe that's the reason the non IE Etruscan language hasn't been deciphered yet too or has it in secret...?

This stuff really gets me. So Aphrodite came in from Cyprus and the ‘mother’ Goddess in Knossos and Phaistos is Demeter. I can see Dionysus there too. I’d love this to get translated (Linear A).

Do you think Demeter being from Crete might be what connects Persephone and Dionysus? Some of the older Orphic stories about Dionysus claim him as the son of Zeus and Persephone, and he’s also associated with the religious movement that Demeter and Persephone were apart of

Interesting, I always assumed that Demeter had Indo-European origins, and that the word meter was a cognate of mater or mother. As for Zeus having been born in Crete, it makes me wonder if the Mycenaeans merged their sky god Dyeus Pater with an already existing Minoan god.
