@trial_trackers: Day 5 of the Tomasz Kosowski trial focused on the dumpster prosecutors believe was used to dispose of Steven Cozzi’s body, Kosowski’s digital activity and testimony about the paralyzing drug succinylcholine. A garbage truck driver described an unusual, overpowering odor when he emptied the dumpster, while investigators testified that a human-remains detection K9 later alerted on it. A cybercrimes detective also detailed searches for Cozzi’s address, utility carts, license plate flippers and information about succinylcholine. An anesthesiologist testified that succinylcholine causes paralysis without causing sedation or unconsciousness. Investigators previously testified that a vial of the drug and a syringe were recovered from Kosowski’s Corolla. Kosowski has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder.
