Wrap it in newspaper and put in the cupboard to ripen it quickly. Fruit taste like fruit salad. I grew up on this fruit in the 1970’s. Use a fork to eat it. Try not to eat the black bits. You are welcome from Australia.

Called fruit salad plant in New Zealand. The fruit ripens slowly so you can only eat the ripe part then the rest as it ripen.
