So after taxes you make about 1280 a month right? SAVE EVERY DIME. Depends when you turn 18, but let’s say six months, that’s 7680. That’s enough. Ofc depends if you have bills rn. You will need to move up in position or switch jobs to be stable tho, you cannot live long term on 11 an hour on your own

Don’t let people take advantage of you because they can tell you need help. PRAY and ask God to send you destiny helpers and don’t let go of those people. Do well by them

stay at home as long as you can. Work when your mom is home. Sleep when she’s gone.

Save for all the application fees, the down payment, and make sure to set aside 2 months rent and have at least 4-5k in savings for emergencies. This will set you up pretty good, never know what might happen right when you move out. Try to get a full time job by January, they look at income history. Start learning to live wayyyy below your means now so it’s just habit when you move out. No buying anything unless it’s an absolutely necessity, best of luck to you🫶🏼

make a budget for your expenses. the first thing you need to pay when you get you check is your savings account. when you turn 18 open a checking account and setup an automatic transfer in to it on payday thats a little over half your rent and bills. setup auto pay for every bill you can.

so you need 3 months of expenses to move out. be patient with yourself. a roommate would be a good route.

Before Trump I’d say join the military but now maybe join the police force. That’s a job you can train for out of high school. Also you can apply to any number of programs where they will train you like maybe air traffic control. If you don’t think big straight away you’ll be behind. I think you could also apply to something that will give you steady employment like crane school. It’s like 3,500 bucks and you’ll make a lot of money after. Training is like 4 weeks.

Look into joining the Service, Airforce, Army and Navy. Study for your Asvab test the better you score the better jobs you can qualify for which means the more money you can earn. There is a lot of great opportunities that can come from serving. Army mom here and if my son can do it so can you! ❤️🙏💪

First you need a better paying job, living costs are pretty high and it’s not worth going into debt to move out. Once you secure a better paying job you can look to get an okay apartment and I hope you have a car bc otherwise public transport can add up as well as Ubers and Lyfts

You better enjoy those days with your Mom and not be so eager to leave. These are the best years of your life and it’s hard out there

You need to be earning 40x the cost of your apartment or apartment share. So a $1000. A month apartment is $40,000 a year which translates to $19.23 an hr for 40 hrs a week At $11 an hour you can afford a $500 apartment.

okay i did this myself, get a low income apartment that is based on your income. save up for it to be furnished and a safety deposit. shein and amazon are your best friend! just try to put back as much as you can! its okay to go slow and not have everything you need immediately. pull extra shifts if you can!

I just moved…$2900 for the apartment…$400 for movers…you’ll need deposits for electricity and water around here that’s $300 electric, $100 water you eventually get that back if you pay on time for 3 years. I moved all small stuff, boxes in my truck. If you have pets they cost more. Rental insurance…East Tennessee

depends on the area but 3k would be more than enough for the area I live in. look at places close enough that you could bike to work if possible. eat out as little as possible, look into getting a prepaid phone, and learn to start working on and fixing stuff yourself.

Remember priorities…shelter, food, utilities. Try to stay away from debt. Stay away from credit cards, you don’t have the money don’t buy it. It will suck sometimes but being debt free is freedom.
