Yup. October one is already done. Have been doing it for a few years now. I use pen & paper, I love crossing off a bill paid. 😂 I write out all the bills and how much they are. I put my weekly spending money in there too. And write out the expected income. My husband is paid weekly so some months we have 4 weeks of weekly spending and income, some months we have 5. I always leave some money for the extra, unexpected expenses. The only thing I want to start doing is setting aside money every month for the yearly bigger expenses (we pay our car insurance every six months, so setting money aside every month would probably be better than having one huge chunk of money go out twice a year, then like yearly subscriptions, birthdays, holiday money..sinking funds?-is that what it’s called)..

I don't understand spreadsheets so I'm simple and old school i have a notebook pen and a cheap dollar store calculator and I write it all out at the beginning of the month. I have recently tried every dollar though as well I'm still getting the hang of it. September was my first ever budget but I'm learning fast.It's alot harder then people think when you are coming out of a shopping addiction

I use Google sheets (excel) and I have everything set across the same format every month but adjust for things from the year before and I check how much interest we spend on credit cards and loans which is less than $1k not including mortgage

No budget. I just know what to spend and what to save. I pay bills that come in monthly and save the rest. The savings helps when we need something big for the house. No house or car payment.

I bugger every paycheck and try to stick to it. I bet I really only budget out our bills that we have to pay that week. It’s very hard for us to stick to a budget and I don’t know how to fix it and I use pen of paper I’ve also tried Dave Ramsey every and it’s really hard for me also.

I budget on and off. Sometimes the budget gets blown because of unexpected expenses and then I have to start all over again. One thing that has help to save is I make automatic daily transfers from my checking account to savings account and only use what is available in the checking.

Yes! I use Excel spreadsheets. I budget every month. I track my paychecks, bills, credit card spending, savings and extra mortgage payments. I also keep an eye on what I should have left in checking at the end of the month. It keeps me from wondering, Where did all my money go?
