Is this normal for Utah? I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a tornado up in the mountains. I live in tornado alley and I have never heard of this😳

from my neice. My contact at the National Weather Service just called. They are 90% certain we had a tornado touch down just north of Francis Peak/south end of WPR property. (There was a confirmed touchdown on the Davis County side of Francis Peak and then it came over to our side) they will be out on the mountain over the weekend locating the "path of destruction" so they can determine the EF scale. They said it's the strongest tornado system they've seen in Utah. Thankfully it was all up on the mountain in uninhabited space

We had a tornado hit back in the 80s here. I live in New Mexico. It too hit the mountains from west to east. It pushed huge trees down. Or broke them in half.
