Unfortunately as someone in this industry we only make up 7.2% of the industry. That’s why an org called “ Where are all the Black People” are trying to push us forward. Once you start looking at senior and director roles it’s even less. However every Black Person won’t view life the same. The filmmaker in me was taught to avoid the color white for various reasons.. brand color or not. Talent wouldn’t have had white on.

I’m gonna applaud you, I’m seeing this converse ad as extremely offensive by all factors one. Yes it looks like a lynching normally white people were the ones with the white hoods KKK. I appreciate you calling out the entire marketing for Nike/converse as if one person just decided to make the video commercial and it just bypassed everybody in the room for approval. Thank you again because the way you detailed the full depth of how this even made it to be aired is tells us so much about these Corporate companies and why we’re supporting them has me sick in my stomach because they’re only wealthy because of us. My advice boycott 100%. Don’t give them your money. They absolutely lost mine.

They've already apologized. What they should've done- but never would- is note the level of condemnation this image shows. Even as a white person I know black folks don't hang themselves in trees. And too many folks have been found... and covered up.
