Municipal shelters like Carson aren’t set up to operate like rescues or transport organizations. their resources are already focused on the animals physically in their care. 501c3 rescues are much better equipped for out of state placements. If anyone is interested in adopting from out of state, they can contact a local rescue and see if they’re willing to back the dog, fly or drive here and go home with their new pet (many people have!), or go visit their local shelter!!!
