![A lot of Prabowo’s most awful crimes, especially in East Timor/Timor Leste, are very difficult to document and will probably only ever be “allegations.” That being said, even if you just accept Prabowo’s own narrative about it he was the commander of a special forces unit during the invasion/occupation of a sovereign country which the UN says killed somewhere between 90,000 and 202,000 people.
