@witholaf: In 1995, Dr. Bryan Cox delivered a baby girl named Lauren Cortez at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. At the time, neither of them could have known that their paths would cross again many years later in a very special way. Twenty-five years later, Lauren was expecting her first child. When she began looking for an OB-GYN, she specifically chose Dr. Cox. Her decision was partly influenced by her mother, who had been Dr. Cox’s patient for years and had always spoken highly of him. Lauren’s choice brought her back to the same doctor who had delivered her when she was born. This time, however, she was not the baby being delivered. She was about to become a mother herself. On July 26, 2020, Dr. Cox delivered Lauren’s son, Logan James, at the same Methodist Hospital in San Antonio where he had delivered Lauren 25 years earlier. The moment created a remarkable connection across two generations. The doctor who had welcomed Lauren into the world was now there to help welcome her own child. Lauren later shared the story on social media, posting a comparison of the two deliveries. Her post quickly attracted widespread attention and went viral, receiving more than 767,000 likes. What began with a doctor delivering a baby girl in 1995 came full circle a quarter-century later.
