The fact they are trying to take rights away from parents, I will always fight for my kids to have their cell phones at school. You can’t guarantee their safety, and you’re keeping parents in the dark about stuff going on with your child at school. I know these are what ifs. But my what ifs have never steered me wrong 🤷♀️

we live in that district. can't even have a bullet proof Backpack just in case. also this makes it awkward for girls on their cycle.

our school (elem & middle) in the north thurston schools district dont let phones leave backpacks, if they do its immediately taken away & a call home then parents have to come get the phone as it will not be released to the child. love that, its a good balance of still being able to have a phone easily accessible for emergencies & letting our children get an actual childhood in school
