Ice coffee to a interview? I’m going into an interview making sure my breath smell like mint not coffee. You should have fresh breath… remember you are talking in a room in close proximity. How you know they want to smell coffee on your breath?

Lord, I remember popping a mint in my mouth and either chewing it or spitting it out before I entered the building. In my mind, the interview starts as soon as I pull in the lot because you never know who’s watching or who you may have held the door open for. I wouldn’t even THINK about taking a coffee in and I’ve always politely declined when offered coffee or water while I waited.

Yes listening and always learning no matter how old I am. ❤️❤️❤️❤️You have to be prepared when you go on interviews and that means dressing accordingly. it doesn't mean that you have to dress like that all the time because that's your choice. but when you going for a job come on now, let's not be slow about it. It's crazy the way I see some people going to Walmart for interviews like that is crazy to me. I don't care if it's Walmart or you think it's ghetto or dirty. You still are supposed to go in there properly dressed for an interview like you want the job.

I only ever even accepted water when offered when I knew we weren’t going to be a fit & the interview was basically over. To walk in with anything other than a briefcase, handbag, or portfolio (I’m dating myself) is unheard of.

I am a recently retired 30 year HR Manager , and I have had those exact thoughts! The level of entitlement in job applicants and new hires across 3 different industries never ceased to amaze me! I always said I needed to write a book about my experiences but no one would believe me! 🤣 Would love to hear some of your craziest HR stories!!

They want to normalize things that are sub-stanfard. The normalization of bad grammar is becoming a thing. Everytime I see "your" in place of "you're" the rest of my life decreases by a few milliseconds smh.
