Mandi Bossard :
When I finally wrap up talking about this series, I’ll do a video comparing it to the 1994 version!

Hating how much you’re making me wanna watch this abomination again. Honestly, bad King adaptations are more fun than good ones though.

you are going to like the final episode. Stephen King wrote that one.

mandi this is madness, I have been sending these to my wife to convince her to watch this (aggressively failing) and she’s given you a grand compliment “this person is covering it for me…” (I have made her watch a lot of horrible things in 15 years so she’s very weary of me)

One of the most frustrating things about this adaptation is that it had such good bones in terms of casting. I was so excited when I saw the cast list and it had so much potential but the odd directing and writing choices made the result fall short for me.

Death at a Funeral 2010 is James Marstens best work

Mick Garris did such a great job directing the 90s version! You mentioned warmth, Mick is really a great big-hearted guy!

the mini series from the 90s is great! Parker Lewis was evil.

I liked Whoopi’s performance, but the idea of putting Abigail in a nursing home takes a lot of what I found interesting about her (the idea of someone never adopting the modern world, and so being perfectly ready for the end of it) just totally gone. Instead now she is just a religious zealot. Really felt like she had nothing to teach the cast about how to survive this world, so she really is just preaching to them the entire time. Idk.
