The heaviest precipitation initially hit the Girona area. Intense hail lasted for about 10 minutes, with hailstones reaching 2 cm in diameter. The steps of the city's cathedral turned into a small waterfall due to the rushing water. Fornells de la Selva recorded 57 mm of rainfall in 30 minutes, while Cassà de la Selva saw 49 mm over the same period. La Bisbal d'Empordà recorded 27.4 mm, and Banyoles 26.1 mm. The downpours caused flooding on streets and roads and in buildings. A hydrological risk alert was issued for the Ter River basin; the flow rate of the Terri River at Cornellà de Terri reached 17 cubic meters per second. The storm system subsequently moved toward Barcelona and the coast.
