My interest rate is 3.5 and I still want out. Maintenance is draining me. To replace two AC units is over $15k, plumbing issues, and all my appliances need to be replaced. I’m over it and it is overrated!!

What about a 401K loan? No credit needed and you pay yourself back instead of a lender. They just take a certain amount out of each check. You could get the repairs done that way.

OMG!! I felt the very same way and did a Chapter 13 BK. I was so stressed out without the dogs. I just ended up selling in order to live. HUDs “help” turned out to be a whole joke once I sold. Good luck to you!!

Yes!!! I sold my home and went back to renting!!!!! I am a single mom and I was worried I couldn’t replace what needed to be fixed..it drained me!!!!! I could my mortgage but god forbid I needed a new furnace!!!!

In a similar situation. I did the minimal work to get it rented out because my interest rate is 2.8🙏🏽. My tenants pay almost double what the mortgage payment and I take that $1000 profit into my rented luxury town home in a resort community and don’t worry about NOTHING!! Your situation is shitty right now but don’t sell it due the minimum and rent it out

Completely understand. I bought my house in 2000. My payment was $750. Now? It’s $1850/mth bc of mainly property taxes. It needs work. Property value is $240k but I’d only be able to sell for maybe $150k (maybe). I’m tired of stressing about having to pay for any type of repair or replacement. The only reason I’m still here? I’m almost paid off.
