Idk how to feel about this one tbh people can use this mindset to justify being absolute bitches in high school. If you really were a bully and whatnot it’s totally valid for people to never ever like you again and 9 times out of 10 those people knew what they were doing your not a “kid” you are fully aware of your actions in high school. Yes of course people change and all that but you can’t expect people to forget how you treated them and assume better of you unless you’ve proven you’re not the same person.

100% ppl can change but imo it has to come with accountability. If someone knows they hurt me (persistent shit talking, rumors, etc.) and act like it never happened that’s so weird imo. It’s not a mystery either I’d make it known that it hasn’t been forgotten but if they hang around knowing that and never addressing it they’re no longer in my life. I don’t talk abt them or to them and in my worldview they haven’t changed enough to own up to it. True change = accountability and building trust.
