I can’t speak for all women but in my experience being nice only seems to encourage a lot of men , many men can’t take no for an answer or don’t like being rejected , they often turn nasty and threatening towards us so I can somewhat understand why some women are defensive 🤷🏻‍♀️

Being raised to put your guard up when someone demands details from you is nothing to be shamed for. If you had of simply said “hey I think you’re attractive, are you available?” It might have been a better approach. Better yet, if you had of taken the hint when she didn’t turn to you, she might not have had her guard up. This doesn’t mean you can’t shoot your shot, be softer in your approach

Don’t take it personally. It’s likely they have had very negative experiences with men in the past who have not been on their best behaviour.

It’s hard to explain but it’s annoying to always be approached, especially when you’re just wanting to not be disturbed. I wouldn’t take it personally, but please know, there are a lot of women who don’t want the attention of men. I suggest you wait for a sign that they may be interested before talking to them and asking if you can have their details. Also, don’t use pick-up lines- they make you seem cocky.

I get approached a lot when I’m out and I’m always nice and polite when I say I am taken. Unless they are being aggressive or disrespectful of course.
