I just realized that the words that come from French we say the full word while it's shortened one in English. We can't call brassière-bras because bras in French means arm. We say "une seconde" but 1 sec in English. We shorten different words, restaurants is resto, computer (ordinateur) is ordi, motorcycle is moto, bicycle is vélo, teen (adolescents) is ado. Fridge is frigo, organic (biologique) is bio, environmentalists is écolo. i just realize that we end most things in O 😄
