The Prophet ﷺ would seek Allah’s protection, saying: اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ “O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave.” My brothers and sisters, when we bury our loved ones, make sincere du’a for them. Ask Allah to forgive them, have mercy upon them, keep them firm during the questioning and make their graves spacious and full of light. They no longer need our worldly words. They need our du’a.
