the wonderful "someone has told me what I want to hear, therefore it's true regardless of whatever anyone else says". had someone try this in my old DIY job. they wanted someone to tell them that a plastic sheet would be ok as a long term roof or something. I'm not DIY focused (I was a dog's body assistant), so I got the attention of a colleague. I repeated the question to him AND he told me the customer had asked him not even 5 minutes ago and told him no. people just wanna hear what they wanna hear
