The park says an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of death. According to the park, 69 calves had been born at the elephant breeding centre through Asar 2083, with 38 believed to be Ronaldo’s offspring—highlighting his significant role in the breeding programme. Recent reports had also identified Ronaldo as one of Chitwan’s prominent wild bull elephants involved in breeding with captive females.
